Sunday 13 March 2005 saw members of Richardís Trampoline Club traveling over to Ipswich for their annual competition. This competition catered for all Grades from 6 the first grade, to National Grade 1 standard.
Karen Bettany and Charlie Mussino competed at Grade 2. Karen came 5th in an extremely tough group. Today was her first time on a trampoline after taking 2 weeks out due to illness. And Charlie did very well to come 2nd as heís still recovering from a recent foot injury. Their routines were not up to their usual standard or level of difficulty, but a very brave attempt considering their lack of preparation.
At Grade 3 Elliot Stratton came 3rd scoring a total of 52.8. Today was a warm-up for Elliot as in a few weeks heís aiming to qualify for Grade 2 Nationals, and his score shows heís right on target for that.
At Grade 4 Lorna Kyan completed 2 sound routines to finish 5th. Fiona Barclay did very well to come 4th as this year she moved up an age group. Kirsten Allen came 3rd but her voluntary routine was not up to her usual standard, and Kyrstin Fairweather came 2nd.
There was lots of success at Grade 5. Maddie Churchman did herself proud to gain 3rd place. This year she has moved up an age group and a grade, so an excellent achievement for her. The success continued with our ladies Daniella Liparoti, Lisa Golding, Charlotte Pocock and Laura Wilson came team 1st, Laura Wilson also came 3rd individually and Charlotte Pocock came 1st.
As usual our Grade 6 performers also did well, Oliver Rawlings came 3rd, Grace Woods came 1st in the voluntary routine, Sean Groves came 1st and Oliver Woods also come 1st.
